Bibì & Bibò
Packaging design, 2023
Founded in 1954, Valledoro is an Italian company that offers a wide range of products with different types of breadsticks, crispbreads, and snacks.
Their products are distributed to most of the national market as well as the foreign market.
However, it is difficult to find Bibì & Bibò cookies, which are strongly rooted in and limited to the Brescia tradition, where the company comes from.
So, the design goal of the new packaging is to expand the market for Bibì & Bibò cookies.

The original cookie packaging presents a 50s vintage aesthetic and a shiny finish.
Bibì & Bibò are crunchy cookies very similar to Italian grissini (breadsticks), but slightly sweet, intended for breakfast or afternoon snack for children and babies. The packaging, however, does not reveal the nature of the product and it’s not appealing to the final consumer (kids and families) because of its out aged look.
New proposals.
Classic.
The first proposal is a reinterpretation of the current packaging. The colors are modernized, but the 1950s aesthetic remains.
The goal is to highlight the product and its characteristics. The crispness is represented by the crumbs, while the combination with milk suggests a slightly sweet taste, ideal for breakfasts and snacks.
Illustrated.
The second package tells a story. The protagonists are Bibì and Bibò snacking: the idea is to create two characters that can be easily used in "Bibì & Bibò" brand communication.
The landscape depicted, on the other hand, is meant to suggest the origins and simplicity of the product and its genuine ingredients.
As in the previous proposal, the photograph of the cookies enhances their main characteristics.
